Moving across several states is quite an ordeal. Imagine doing it without the convenience of cars, trucks, or moving vans. In 1890, Mart Caffey and his wife Myra left northeast Mississippi for a new beginning on the west Texas frontier. Following his oldest brother, he and his family toiled out a life growing cotton on the west Texas prairie while creating memories and a future from their fading world. They lived a life now gone but one from which we can all learn something from in our modern world.
